    NERCSI – President’s Message – January 20, 2025

    By MikeHelly | Announcement | 0 comment | 22 January, 2025 | 0

Happy New Year, from all of us on the Executive Committee at the Northeast Region of CSI!  We hope that this upcoming year will be a positive and successful one for all of us working within the broad AEC community.

Just recently we conducted our quarterly Board meeting for the Region, and per usual there is plenty of activity and ideas.  For a sample of what is happening across the northeastern USA, please check out our site at https://nercsi.com/.

I’d be remiss if I did not mention that I truly appreciate the time and efforts made by all who volunteer with CSI in our area, be it at the chapter or regional level (or both).  There are many people that freely give their time to the organization and also to the betterment of building design in general.

There are 2 key topics that I wanted to briefly note here in this message.  One is that our (regional) online CDT prep course will begin in mid-February.  If interested, please sign up today:  CDT Preparation Class – CSI Northeast Region.  Our course has proved highly successful and it is a great program that the region offers to members and not yet-members alike.

Lastly, I’m very excited about our upcoming annual regional conference- this time in Plymouth Massachusetts – also known as “America’s Hometown”.  This will be an interactive and educational event, with plenty of time for networking- and a bit of fun.  It will be held May 15-17th.  More information and registration links can be found at: 2025 Region Conference Attend – CSI Northeast Region.  Attendee and sponsorship registration is now open.  We would love to see you there.

As always, if you are a member in the region and you’d like to reach out to me for any reason, please feel free to via the Contact section of our NER website.   Thank you, and best of luck in this new year.

    Regards,

    Ken Lambert
    President, CSI- Northeast Region
    Director of Structures & CFE
    Cocoon, Inc. (cocoon-inc.com)

    About Ken:

Ken Lambert has been active in the construction industry in New England (and beyond) for over 20 years in several roles. He currently is a Director of Structures & Corrosion-Free Environments for Cocoon, Inc. He formally was a construction project manager for several contracting firms, as well as the Technical Director in New England for the International Masonry Institute.  He now serves as the President for the NE Region, and he has been involved in local, regional, and national aspects of CSI for several years.  Ken has maintained his Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License (CSL) for many years, and he enjoys figuring out better, and more practical, ways to get a project built and completed.

When he is not at a CSI event or working on a construction project, Ken enjoys cycling, coaching soccer, and spending time with his wife and boys.
