Syracuse – Building Science Envelope Insights
Presented by Dale B. Sherman
Building Science Specialist
at Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt
A building’s envelope controls how heat, air, and moisture pass through that envelope. We’ll look at the surprising inpact of partially insulated attics, recessed can lighting, holes and penetrations in the envelope, pressure imbalances, misapplied vapor barriers, and vapor retarders. We’ll also discuss how air-sealing can adversely affect Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). This session will focus on residential buildings, but the science applies to all buildings.
PDH & GBCI Credits are available. AIA credits are not available at this time (we are diligently working on getting AIA credits for future programs).
