OVERVIEW:

Hear an expert panel of fire protection engineers and building envelope design professionals discuss NFPA 285. They will present historical evidence detailing why NFPA 285 is important and required by the building code, explain what aspects of an exterior wall triggers a code requirement for NFPA 285, provide information on how to design exterior walls that comply with the requirements of NFPA 285, and discuss current nuances in local state building code amendments regarding NFPA 285. The panel members have vast experience in NFPA 285 testing, as well as engineering evaluations for untested conditions, which will guide the presentation portion of the seminar. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss experiences and concerns with the expert panel.

This presentation will provide one CEU or AIA credit. The presentation will begin at 6:30PM, we will host our usual networking session and dinner before the presentation beginning at 5:15PM.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

Attention to all attendees: Each member or guest is responsible to cancel on or before the deadline if they are unable to attend and have already registered. There is no cost for this event for members of the Boston Chapter. Members of other CSI Chapters are welcome to join us as a guest.

CSI Member guests and non-members are $30 if attending the networking or dinner part of the evening.
The program, starting at 6:30PM, is free for guests or members.
