Adam Bonosky
Associate | Senior Planner
SWBRAdam is a senior planner at SWBR and has experience in planning, urban design, and architecture. He has worked on neighborhood revitalization efforts, transit-oriented development, comprehensive plans, mall retrofit concepts, highways to boulevards initiatives, residential development, and K-12 school design and construction. As an educator, he has provided design and graphics instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels to architecture and real estate development students.

A certified planner, licensed architect, and Urban Guild member, he is interested in ways to elevate the level of urban architecture as well as strategies to implement context-sensitive schools. Adam received his bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Notre Dame and his Master of Urban Design from the University of Miami. His work has received awards from the CNU, Urban Guild, APA Upstate New York Chapter, and the ICAA-Florida Chapter.

Catie Stephenson
Executive Director
Buffalo Olmsted Parks ConservancyCatie joined the Conservancy in 2017 as Chief Development and Communications Officer. In this role, Stephenson led an interdisciplinary team responsible for fundraising, communications, community engagement, DEI, and advocacy. Prior to Olmsted, she was associate director for communications at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.

Catie is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, with a B.A. in Political Science and American History. She held the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs and received an M.A. in Public & Nonprofit Management from the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2018, she earned a certificate in non-profit management from the Harvard Business School Club of Buffalo.
Catie credits the Conservancy as the place where she was finally able to deploy her management, fundraising, and communications skills. Advocating for parks and public spaces, particularly those with historic significance, is her passion. Doing this in Buffalo, her beloved hometown, has become her life’s work.

Joe Driscoll
I-81 Project Director
City of SyracuseJoe Driscoll was born and raised in Syracuse. After graduating Nottingham High School, he began to pursue a career as a professional musician. In 2003, he moved to England where he signed to record label Buttercuts, and toured his original compositions all over the world, including: Africa, most of Europe, the Middle East, Russia, and all over the US.

In 2015, Driscoll returned to his hometown, and began engaging in politics. In 2016, he was a lead organizer in the group ‘Syracuse for Sanders’, building a grassroots campaign for presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders. The experience led Driscoll to pursue running for local office in 2017, where he was successfully elected to the 5th District Council Seat. While in office, Driscoll passed legislation addressing the city’s Lead Crisis, certified the City of Syracuse as a Clean Energy community, and worked extensively as the transportation chair, advocating for the Community Grid option to replace the aging infrastructure of Interstate I81 .

In 2022, Driscoll was appointed by the Walsh administration to be the city’s Project Director for the I81 project. In his role, Joe is the primary point of contact with other government agencies, engaging with design consultants, and interfacing with the community. During his first year in the role, Driscoll and his colleagues have been successful in acquiring two major grants: the Reconnecting Communities and Thriving Communities grants, enabling him to bring more resources to the project.

Scott Townsend
Principal
SWBRScott is more than an architect that designs buildings – he has a passion for healing and invigorating neglected and underserved communities, neighborhoods, and buildings. His portfolio includes a range of Mixed-Use, Adaptive Re-Use, and Affordable Housing projects. His clients trust him for his expertise in planning, designing, and envisioning their projects. He was drawn to architecture out of his desire to create something that is local, tangible, and addresses a larger societal or global issue.

Scott regularly volunteers at his local food shelter, where he’s seen as either the greeter or the maître-de by the patrons. He lives in Troy with his wife and three children.

David Pawlik
President

CSS Construction’s strength stems from our expertise and past experience in working with complex affordable housing initiatives. The Mission for CSS is collaborating with Faith-based / not-for-profit partners, in delivering quality affordable housing throughout the Eastside of Buffalo and the Western NY. For over (14) years CSS created an internal Minority Mentorship Program. The mission behind the program is to aid individuals with advancement to grow their company. CSS provides support by assisting individuals in securing business banking lines of credit, budgeting for construction projects, and business performance.

Mr. Pawlik brings over 25 years of project development, commercial financing, government relations experience to Creative Structures Services. He is a graduate of Niagara University, with a degree in Labor Relations/ Marketing. Before that position, Mr. Pawlik had a 15 -year career with the City of Buffalo, serving as Commissioner of Housing/Community Development. He has expertise in LIHTC Financing, NYS Brownfield and Historic Preservation renovation.

Kimberly Baptiste
Colliers Engineering and Design

Kimberly has been practicing urban planning for over 20 years, including 16 years working in the City of Rochester leading a range of planning and design initiatives for Colliers Engineering and Design (formerly Bergmann). Kimberly currently leads the firms Planning discipline, with a presence in 5 states. She has been responsible for the oversight and execution of large-scale engagement campaigns across the state, with an emphasis on tailoring outreach efforts in a manner that focuses on establishing a transparent, collaborative process that fosters trust and a sense of ownership in projects. A significant amount of her work involves utilizing unique approaches to gather information, educate stakeholders and build consensus around multifaceted projects with a focus on multi-modal transportation, parks, urban revitalization, placemaking and land use planning. She specializes in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects and is currently managing the Aqueduct Reimagined project in Rochester, as well as overseeing engagement activities for the Inner Loop North project.
